Rye is a fantastic little town situated in east sussex swamped with history making it a fabulous place to visit.
With all the tourism this sleepy town brings visitors are spoilt for choice when it comes to eating out which inevitably makes it very hard to choose the best restaurant. My fiance and I love to eat out & because rye offers some of the most fantastic restaurants we end up eating the area on a regular basis.
After trying a variety of places including the George, simply italian & various others we came across a fantastic hotel in rye situated at the top of the cobble street called The Hope Anchor.
I am far from a food critic however I love “good food” and certainly have a champagne taste which is why to me the hope anchor has to be the number one restaurant in rye when it comes to customer service and the quality of food. Their shef is outstanding and you will be made feeling very welcome from the moment you enter.
